The discussion centered on how organizations can shift from evaluating performance solely through metrics to fostering growth and continuous improvement.
During the event, we also launched the 2025 Türkiye Compensation and Benefits Trend Report, prepared in collaboration with Twiser. The mid-year report went beyond pay trends to highlight evolving dynamics in goal systems, performance management, development–career connections, and digitalization.
Some key findings stood out:
Only 5% of companies are highly satisfied with their current goal-setting systems.
80% of performance data is used in pay and promotion decisions, while its link to development remains below 30%.
As the frequency of feedback increases, employee motivation rises from 20% to 77%.
Only 9% of HR teams currently use AI-assisted decision-making in their processes.
These figures reveal a clear pattern: performance management still revolves primarily around evaluation and reward, while development receives limited attention.
Yet, sustainable organizational success depends on reframing performance as a driver of career growth and development, not merely as a pay or promotion mechanism. Companies that make this shift achieve stronger outcomes in both employee engagement and retention.
At Talent Talks #15, we discussed how to bring this transformation to life. The insights and actionable ideas shared by participants provided valuable direction for integrating development-centered performance models into daily practice.
